Floor-to-ceiling smoky mirrors shadow the bar, with its stainless steel base and black granite top. Four amethyst-gray leather bar stools provide extra interior seating. Muted mauve wallpaper sets the backdrop. A huge video screen provides close-circuit TV viewing as well as network shows. A large private bathroom is off to one side and is bigger than most of the other suites'. A gray marble with mauve and peach running through it com- plements the marble of the suite itself. There is even a telephone near the basin, for private conversations. Sosnick's wife Susan decorated the suite, choosing colors that would har- monize with the colors in the hallways and with the 24 seats outside of the suite. But she insists her husband con- tributed greatly, designing the overall look of the suite, as well as the bar and buffet. "We needed a color such as mauve because the chairs outside the suite are red, and we wanted something warm," says Susan. "We didn't want a lot of furniture because we didn't want the space cluttered. We chose a large leather couch because I knew leather would be durable, and I knew we would be having lots of company." All three owners use the suite exten- sively as a gathering place, "to hang out and have fun,"says Susan Sosnick. They rarely hold individual parties. "We invite friends and business associates," says Sosnick. "We use it as an extension of our own homes." Understated, elegant and comfortable. A delightful 'home' to visit.
