A 40th year anniversary
showing of works by the
Potter's Guild of Ann Arbor
will open 8 p.m. Saturday at
the Homestead Gallery in
Walled Lake. The show runs
through Nov. 5.
The Potter's Guild of Ann
Arbor began with nine
potters in 1949. The show
will feature the works of its
now several members in a
wide array of directions and
styles.

SAFAM Performs
For Campaign

The musical troupe SAFAM
will be performing at the
1990 Allied Jewish Cam-
paign President's Club at the
Hyatt Regency in Dearborn, 7
p.m. Tuesday.
The evening for con-
tributors of $10,000 will also
consist of a champagne buffet
and dancing with the Mel
Ball and Colours orchestra.
A six-man group, SAFAM
has original compositions and
arrangements which have
become trademarks in
American Jewish music.
SAFAM's musical styles
range from folk-like ballads to
rock & roll. For texts, they use
traditional prayers.
