Between noon and 4 p.m. free lectures will be given by Sinai staff on such topics as early breast cancer detection, cardiology, headaches, osteo- porosis, back aches, parenting parents and lowering cho- lesterol and oat bran. CPR classes, including an infant CPR class, will be given by Sinai staff. Free blod pressure tests will be offerd and Tay- Sachs, body fat and cho- lesterol screening will be available at minimum cost. The Michigan Cancer Foun- dation will offer computeriz- ed cancer risk assessment. Members of the Hadassah sponsored Hashachar Youth Group will entertain children of adults attending the event. Histadrut To Cite Glenner-Schwartz Histadrut of Metro Detroit will honor its vice-chairman, Belle Glenner-Schwartz, with a testimonial luncheon in recognition of her efforts and achievements on behalf of the working people of Israel, on Oct. 29. The luncheon will be held at the Days Hotel on West Nine Mile Road in Southfield. Glenner-Schwartz has been a volunteer youth adviser at Adat Shalom Synagogue and organized college-age dinners at the Ann Arbor Hillel House. A captain with the March of Dimes, she also volunteered with the Oak Park Senior Citizens Center. She has served with Na'amat as fund-raising vice president and donor book chairman to president of the Council of NA'AMAT. She is a vice-chairman of Histadrut Belle Glenner-Schwartz and chairman of the Detroit Zionist Federation Jerusalem Day. In honoring Schwartz, Histadrut is establishing the Belle Glenner-Schwartz Per- petual Scholarship Fund. Guest speaker is Professor Jeffry Mallow, dean of the mathematics and physics department at Loyola Univer- sity of Chicago, where he teaches physics and astronomy and pioneered the first work in alleviating the condition called "science anx- iety" among students.
