The money was raised within weeks, and
three months later the American Jewish
Joint Distribution Committee was estab-
lished as the overseas relief arm of the
American Jewish community •

The rest is history. For 75 years, the JDC's
programs of rescue, relief, rehabilitation
and Jewish education have helped our
fellow Jews and people in distress through-
out the world.
