Knesset member Yitzhak Levy of the NRP introduced a motion Monday calling on President Bush to personally intervene on Anne Pollard's behalf for humanitarian reasons. NRP activists 'plan to set up 350 booths across the country to collect signatures on a petition asking Bush to free Pollard on grounds of her deteriorating health. Pollard, who was convicted of possession of classified documents in connection with her husband's es- pionage activities for Israel, is reported to be very ill, suf- fering from a rare digestive disorder. Epel President Marshall Lasser Dinner Chairman Gush Leader, Palestinian Visit Jerusalem (JTA) — A leader of the militant Gush Emunim movement of Jewish settlers in the West Bank has made a surprise visit to a Palestinian leader who supports the Palestine Liberation Organization. In a move that apparently stunned the movement, Rabbi Menahem Fruman of the West Bank settlement of Tekoa paid a courtesy visit to Faisal Husseini of East Jerusalem, who is fre- quently described by Gush Emunim as the PLO com- mander in the Jerusalem area. "I came to meet with an enemy," Fruman told the many reporters who sur- rounded him over the weekend. "The idea of Greater Israel is so great that there is suffi- cient space also for the Palestinians who wish to live with us in coexistence," he added.
