Hadassah 20th
Telethon Underway
The Greater Detroit
Chapter of Hadassah is in the
midst of its 1989-90 fund-
raising drive which will run
through November under the
direction of Hilary Isakow
and Mary Jo Wolfe, telethon
vice presidents.
For the 20th year, Hadassah
volunteers are calling
members for support of such
projects as the Hadassah
Medical Organization, a state
of the art medical facility and
leader in research and patient
care, and Youth Aliyah, the
world-wide child rescue and
rehabilitation effort.

Samuel Sachs, II, director of
the Detroit Institute of Arts
will speak at the opening
meeting of the Detroit
chapter of the Brandeis
University National Women's
Committee, noon, Oct. 11, at
Tam O'Shanter Country
Club. Sachs will speak on
"The State of the Arts: A
View from the Director's
Chair."

To Meet Wednesday
The Ladies of Oak Park will
meet 7:30 p.m., Wednesday, at
the North Park Square
Clubhouse. There will be an
afterglow and plans to
finalize the Nov. annual fund
raiser will be made.
