YONTIFF TREAT, GREAT ANYTIME

Celebrate the Jewish New Year with a sweet potato and fruit
tzimrnes.
1 /2 pound prunes, presoaked
and pitted (or 1 can pitted
purple plums)
1 /2 pound baking apples, sliced
1 large can (drained) sweet
potatoes (or 4 large sweet
potatoes peeled and boiled)
2 Tablespoons honey
4 Tablespoons brown sugar
1 /2 teaspoon cinnamon
3 Tablespoons chopped walnuts
(optional)
2 Tablespoons shredded coconut
(optional)
2 Tablespoons margarine
Combine ingredients in a casserole and bake in conventional
oven at 325 for 50 minutes or in microwave at 1/2 power until
apples are tender.
