is survived by his children,

IRVING SACHS, 82, of
Southfield, died Sept. 16. He
leaves his children Thomas
and Joyce of Franklin and
Marvin and Brenda of In-
dianapolis, -Ind.; six grand-
children and one great-
grandchild.

HERMAN (SALAMON)
SALL, 97, of Birmingham,
died Sept. 14. He is survived
by his wife, Sylvia; a
daughter, Shirley Renner of
Birmingham; siblings, Dr.
Stanley of Southfield and
Nick Salamon of Scottsdale,
Ariz.; two grandchildren; and
two great-grandchildren.

BERTHA SUPIAN, 81, of
Southfield, died Sept. 16. She
leaves her children, Bob and
Beverly of Southfield and
Emily and Joseph Krinsky of
Bloomfield Hills; siblings, Ed
and Shirley Persin of South-

Southfield; eight grand-

17. She is survived by her

Maurice Rosender

Maurice Rosender, whole-
sale paper executive and
former co-owner of Allied
Paper Co., and AJM Packag-
ing Corp., died Sept. 18. He
was 81.
Mr. Rosender, a resident of
West Bloomfield, was born in
Poland and was a Detroit area
resident for more than 70
years.
Mr. Rosender was a member
of Adat Shalom Synagogue
and Oakland Century Lodge
of B'nai B'rith. He was one of
B'nai B'rith's top
fund-raisers.
He leaves his wife Belle;
children William and Karen
of Farmington Hills and Ruth
and Dr. Charles Weingarten
of West Bloomfield; siblings,
Thomas Rosender of Union
Lake and Frances Cohen of
Oak Park; 10 grandchildren
and four great-grandchildren.

Edna Boesky

Edna Boesky, former co-
owner of Darby's Restaurant,
died Sept. 15. She was 92.
Mrs. Boesky, a Southfield
resident, was born in Russia
and lived in the Detroit area
for more than 85 years.
She was a member of B'nai
B'rith Women and a member
of Hadassah.
She leaves children Ber-
nard and Lurene Kerner of
Oak Park and June Aaron
Kahn of Southfield; siblings,
Louis Meltzer of Toledo,
Harry Meltzer of Port
Charlotte, Fla., Sam and
Florence Meltzer of Farm-
ington Hills and Russell
Meltzer of Southfield; seven
grandchildren and 10 great-
grandchildren.

Edna S. Lockman

Edna S. Lockman, a retired
Oak Park High School
teacher, died Sept. 14. She
was 72.
Mrs. Lockman, a resident of
Farmington Hills, was born
in Poughkeepsie, N.Y., and
was a lifetime resident of the
Detroit area.
She was a member of Tem-
ple Israel and Temple Beth
El, a volunteer at the
American Cancer Society and
at Henry Ford Hospital in
Detroit.
She leaves children Jack
and Patricia of Detroit, Terry
of Pontiac and Stuart and
Deena of Birmingham; and
three grandchildren.

During the coming week Yeshiva Beth Yehudah will observe the yahrzeits of the following departed friends, with
the traditional memorial prayers, recitation of kaddish and studying of mishnayos.
