Marisa Rothstein, the
daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Lawrence Rothstein, and
sister of Michael, twinned
her bat mitzvah at Congre-
gation Beth Abraham Hillel
Moses with Flora Komrash
of the Soviet Union.
Flora is the daughter of
Vyacheslav and Ida
Komrash of the Ukraine in
the Soviet Union. The
Komrash family first ap-
plied to emigrate in 1983;
they were refused for
unknown reasons.
Marisa has written letters
and sent handmade gifts to
Flora and to two other pen
pals, Anna Turbovskaya and
Victoria Katz, who have
since been released- from the
Soviet Union.
Marisa attends Hillel Day
