Dance Scheduled

BBYO/JCC Then Connec-
tion will have its annual fall
dance 8:30-11 p.m. Sept. 23 at
the Maple/Drake Jewish
Community Center. All
seventh and eighth graders
are invited. There is a charge
and refreshments will be
served.
A free shuttle service will
be available, leaving the
Jimmy Prentis Morris JCC at
8 p.m.
Teen Connection is a
nation-wide program for
seventh and eighth graders,
organized by the B'nai B'rith
Youth Organization, and co-
sponsored locally by the
Jewish Community Center.
Members participate in a
wide range of social, recrea-
tional and Judaic programs
throughout the year

Detroit NCSY
Crosses Border

NCSY of Greater Detroit
will meet with Ibronto NCSY
this weekend in Toronto. In-
cluded are Shabbat services
at Bais Avraham Yoset Taber-
nacle, a murder mystery
night in downtown Toronto
and a day at Wonderland
amusement park. Par-
ticipants include, Abby
Eisenberg, Shaindle Braun-
stein, Marc Morton, Marni
Aaronson, David Berkower,
Alia Pearlberg, Erica Watnik,
Michelle Davis and Ronit
Reger.
The trip is being sponsored
by Emes Young Israel Teens,
the Detroit chapter of the Na-
tional Conference of
Synagogue Youth.

B'nei Akiva Plans
Weekly Activities

B'nai Akiva of Detroit will
open its 1989-90 year with a
Shabbaton this weekend at
Young Israel of Southfield.
The Chevreyah Zach Chapter,
for youth grades 6-8, will hold
a Friday night Shabbat din-
ner following services. An
oneg Shabbat will follow.
On Shabbat morning, after
services, grades 1-5 of the
Chevreyah Aleph Chapter
will meet for a "Lunch-and-
Fun" at Young Israel of
Southfield. B'nei Akiva high
school members will direct
afternoon Shabbat activities.
B'nei Akiva's new Shabbat
programming will include
