Mario
Valentino

Highlights from
Valentino's collection
include spectacular
patchwork and quilted
coats. Some quilted,
patchwork jackets have
vibrant colors with a
folkloric or ethnic flavor.
Others are like modern
works of art in bold
black and white
patches. The quilted
jackets are perfect
accessories for elegant
evening clothes.
More conventional are
his princess-style coats,
done in red wool and in
black and white tweed.
An all-leather segment is
presented in yellow,
green and peacock blue.
Leather collars get a
lacy look thanks to
intricate open-work
designs.

Veteran designer
Valentino shows his
sure hand in this
casual yet
sophisticated
evening ensemble. A
beaded skirt and
evening blouse are
teamed with a
quilted jacket.
