can attend a series of classes
at William Beaumont
Hospital beginning Wednes-
day. The classes meet 7 p.m.
each Wednesday from 7 in the
Beaumont Rehabilitation and
Health Center, 746 Purdy,
Birmingham.
The series will cover a
variety of topics relating to
diabetes.
The classes are led by
registered nurses, a dietitian,
a pharmacist and a physical
therapist.
There is a fee. Pre-

topic will be "The Hindu
Way: Mysticism, Meditation
and Devotion" at the Bloom-

Thursday at 10 a.m. the topic
will be "Lebanon at War: The
Christian and Muslim Im-
passe" in the Somerset Mall
auditorium.

March Of Dimes
Honors Volunteers
The fifth annual meeting of
the March of Dimes People
Reaching Out (PROs) volun-
teer group will be 11:30 a.m.
Sunday at the Radisson Hotel
in Southfield.
The public is invited to join
PROs members for a brunch
meeting honoring the foun-
ding members and featuring
the election of officers. Enter-
tainment will be provided by
Detroit's Kate Patterson and
her pianist Mike Zaporski.
There is a charge for
tickets, which are available
