Charles Milan, founder and
former owner of Milan
Winery, died Aug. 29. He was
81.
Mr. Milan, of Southfield,
was a member of Congrega-
tion Shaarey Zedek, an
honorary board member of
the Jewish Home For Aged

the Jewish National Fund,
honorary board member of
B'nai B'rith and a supporter

80,
formerly of Detroit, of
Brooklyn, died Aug. 13. He is
survived by his wife Lillian;

Nathan Brodie

Nathan Brodie, president
and founder of Great Lakes
Wholesale Drugs in Livonia,
died Aug. 28. He was 78.
Mr. Brodie lived in
Southfield. He was still active
in the business, which he
started in 1967. Mr. Brodie
loved to play bridge.
Mr. Brodie is survived by
his wife Mary Ann of Porn-
pano Beach. Fla.; a son
and daughter-in-law, David
and Angelika of West Bloom-
field; a daughter and son-in-
law, Susan and Dr. Sheldon
Davis of St. Louis and
daughters Julie Hollister of
Boulder, Cola, Laura Brodie,
also of Boulder and Jeanne
Brodie of Deland, Fla.; a
sister, Belle Boyce of Livonia;
and five grandchildren.

During the coming week Yeshiva Beth Yehudah will observe the yahrzeits of the following departed friends, with
the traditional memorial prayers, recitation of kaddish and studying of mishnayos.
