Jane Sherman has been ap-
pointed chairman of the
Allied Jewish Campaign Per-
manent Endowment Fund of
United Jewish Charities.
A member of Federation's
_ Executive Committee, Sher-
man was chairman of the
Allied Jewish Campaign in
1988 and 1989. She was
chairman with Paul Borman
of the 1989 Passage to
Freedom Campaign for Soviet
Jewry.
Detroit's AJC Permanent
Endowment Fund has acted
as a national model. It was
created to build endowment
support for the Allied Jewish
Campaign. To date, the AJC
Permanent Endowment Fund
has raised $11 million.
