Center Dance Classes
Will Begin Sept. 10

People will find a multitude
of dance classes this season at
the Maple/Drake Building of
the Jewish Community Cen-
ter of Metropolitan Detroit.
Professional instructors will
teach adults beginning and
intermediate ballet, jazz, and
beginning and intermediate
tap. There are also openings
in the modern dance and the
festival dance classes.
Ballroom dancing beginning
and intermediate, will be at
the center on Thursday
nights. This class will accept
couples or individuals.
The Jewish Center is offer-
ing a class in contemporary
dancing, which is called "big
party dancing," for young peo-
ple on Wednesday evenings.
For children, classes in jazz,
tap, ballet and Moving to

Music will be available dur-
ing the day and also after
school and early evening. All
classes begin the week of
Sept. 10 and last 10 weeks.
Many of these classes are
also being offered at the Jim-
my Prentis Morris branch of
the Jewish Center. For infor-

Expectant Class

The Oakland County
health division will offer a
series of six expectant parent
classes beginning 7 p.m. Sept.
12 in the Southfield office.
There is no charge, but
registration is required. For
information, call the health
division, 424-7042.
