Isadore Shrodeck as he makes
aliyah. Shrodeck has been ac-
tively involved in Labor
Zionist causes, the National
Committee for Labor Israel
(Histadrut Metro Detroit),
metropolitan division of the

Morris and Bertha Yaras,
formerly of Oak Park, now of
Los Angeles, celebrated their
50th wedding anniversary on
July 16, 1989. The simcha
was celebrated with their
CROSSWINDS
Yavneh Academy, the
Reform Jewish Day School of
Detroit, will hold an open
house 6:30 p.m. Wednesday in
its new classrooms in the
Jewish Community Center in
West Bloomfield.
Families and friends who
would like to learn more
about the school are en-
couraged to attend to meet
the new teachers and see the
classrooms and equipment.
The evening will include
entertainment by Magician
Bruce, refreshments and
children's activities.
The new teachers are:
kindergarten, Honey Frank;
first grade, Kerri Litinski;
Hebrew, Julie Englender; art,
Suzie Ruben; and music, Col-
lett Rosner.
