Six Receive
Levin Awards

Six Detroit-area college
students recently received
awards for their studies this
year at the Hebrew Univer-
sity of Jerusalem from the
Carl and Sander Levin
Scholarship Fund.
The fund, established in
1987 by the Michigan
Chapter of the American
Friends of the. Hebrew
University, helps support
students from Michigan who
study at Israel's largest
university.
Recipients include Sarah
Resnick, Birmingham; Che
ryl Cook and Andrea Polk,
Farmington Hills; Ronit
Galazan and Karen Sachs,
West Bloomfield; and Michael
Rubin, Mt. Clemens.

Midrasha Hosts
Israeli Film

Hebrew students of all
levels are invited for an
Israeli movie and a Hebrew
discussion led by Nira Lev.
The movie, King for One

Engagement and wed-
ding announcements must
be typewritten, double-
spaced on 8Y2x11" paper.
They must be submitted by
noon Friday to be con-
sidered for the following
week's newspaper.
A photograph will be us-
ed only when a rabbi (or
rabbi and cantor) is of-
ficiating at the wedding.
There is a $10 photo-
processing charge. Only
