Ruth S. Kanter Ruth S. Kanter of West Bloomfield, a former teacher and national president of Pioneer Women, died Aug. 9. She was 78. Mrs. Kanter also was also active in several other Jewish organizations. She was vice president of Masada and president of the League of Jewish Women.
