were married recently at Con-
gregation B'nai Israel of
West Bloomfield. Rabbi Sher-
man P. Kirshner and Rabbi
A. Charles Shalman of Okla-
homa City, Okla., officiated.
The bride is the daughter of
Mr. Marvin Engel of
Southfield and Mrs. Blanche
Engel of Oak Park. The bride-
groom is the son of Rabbi and
Mrs. Sherman P. Kirshner of
West Bloomfield.
Marlene Urnovitz, sister of
the bride, served as her
matron of honor. Bridesmaids
were Bonnie Engel and
Naomi Krefman, sisters of
the bride, and Connie Kir-
shner, sister-in-law of the
bridegroom. Junior brides-
maid was Tamra Krefman,
niece of the bride. Flower-girl
was Haley Urnovitz, niece of
the bride.
The best man was the bride-
groom's brother, Laurence
Kirshner. Ushers were Elliott
Kirshner and David-Seth Kir-
shner, brothers of the bride-
grodm, and Mark Krefman
and Sheldon Urnovitz,
brothers-in-law of the bride.
Junior usher was Jordan Ur-
novitz, nephew of the bride,
and ring bearer was Jay Kref-
man, nephew of the bride.
Also participating in the
ceremony was the bride-
groom's grandmother, Leah
Wolin.

of labor affairs at the Em-
bassy of Israel in Washington,
D.C., will speak at the B'nai
B'rith Albert Einstein Lodge
an Chapter Dinner-Dance.

Before assuming his pre-
sent post, Cohen-Kagan was
deputy secretary-general of
the Israeli Federation of
Graduate Engineers. He was
born in Siberia to a family ex-
iled there because of Zionist
activity in Latvia. After com-
pleting engineering studies
in Latvia, he was given an
exit permit and immigrated
to Israel.
