CAMP STORIES

op During the summer
months; Camp Tamarack in

Brighton is often
transformed into foreign
countries. A few weeks ago,
the camp resembled Israel
with a kibbutz, an army
post and an artist's quarter
like Safed. The highlight
was the Maccabi games,
when campers competed in
athletic events and received
awards. Another activity
was the Chanukah
celebration. Campers

Angela Bean, Jessica
Dickman, Lindsey
Firestone, Jessica
Gordon, Carly Moore,
Irina Shmidt and Kerri
Whipple discovered
Chanukah fun in August
with menorahs, dreidels,
and latkes under the
guidance of Israeli
counselor Tsahit
Shushy.
