haron Stein, a founder
of the Jewish Corn-
munity Center's Social
Singles group, was elected its
second president last week,
succeeding Al Kaplan. The
term is for one year.
The group is designed to
serve Jewish singles ages
40-55, but Stein said she
hopes to broaden the category
to include singles of all ages
for some events.
For example, she said, the
group's fall bowling league
and its square dances would
not have age restrictions. And
the group's plans to see
"Shayneh Maydel" performed
at the Attic Theatre next
January also would be open
to all singles.
For information about the
group or to be placed on its
mailing list, contact Stein at
552-9237.
