Marriage Encounter
Elects The Mermells

The 1989 International
Congress of Jewish Marriage
Encounter (JME) Com-
munities took place July 8-10
in Philadelphia, Pa. Three
couples represented Michigan
JME:
Andria and Mark Weiss of
West Bloomfield, Michigan,
executive couple; Rose and
Mark Hechler of Southfield,
Michigan, vice-executive cou-
ple; Roz and Lance Mermell
of Lake Orion, Michigan, past
executive couple.
During the congress, the
Mermells were elected 1990
executive couple of Interna-
tion JME. Michigan also won
its bid to host next year's in-
ternational congress July
14-16.
Marriage Encounter offers
couples a program to make
their relationsips more
meaningful.
An information night will
be held 7:30 p.m. Sunday at
the home of Lenore and Ron
Kingston to explain the
organization's 44-hour

weekends to make marriage
more meaningful.
