If the phrase; "Huey, Dewey, and Louie come up front to bag" is familiar
to you, chances are you know Al Slonim. Al, manager extraordinary, until
recetly entertained and served Great Scott! customers at 12 Mile and
Evergreen in Southfield. For those of you that are wondering where Al
has gone, he has moved his show North. Northwest that is, to the Great
Scott! at 13 mile and Orchard Lake Road in Farmington Hills. Next time
you are at Al's store be sure to stop by and say hi. And don't forget to listen
carefully to his P.A. announcements, many of which have been rated right
up there with Dick Purtin.

EAT HEARTY FOOD FESTIVAL AT GREAT SCOTT

Great Scott! and The American Heart Association of Michigan have
joined forces to bring you healthy shopping and eatingtools that may save
your life.
American Heart of Michigan is now accepting reservations for FREE
Great Scott! supermarket tours that will teach you how to shop Hearty.
The tours are available in all stores during the weeks of September 4th
and September llth. If you would like to make a reservation for a free tour
call American Heart at: 557-9500.

As part of the Eat Hearty Food Festival, Cholesterol and Glucose Tests
are being offered at serveral Great Scott Supermarkets during the week
of August 14. Tests are conducted by Mount Clemens General Hospital.
There is a small charge of $5.00 per test or both tests for $8.00. Blood
pressure screening is also available with the blood tests at no additional
charge. Each test consists of analyzing your blood taken from the tip of
your finger. The results of the test are given to you in minutes, WHILE
YOU WAIT. Fasting for the Cholesterol test is not necessary. For the Blood
glucose screening it is recommended that you fast for at least 2 hours after
a normal meal to allow for proper digestion (smoking should be avoid-
ed at this time). Testing is available for those 10 years of age and older.
For scheduling information or to make an appointment to have your
cholesterol or blood glucose checked at the Great Scott! Store nearest
you call: 582-8008, Monday through Friday between 9AM and 5PM
