I LOCAL NEWS I Moonwalking For Bonds The Metro Detroit New Leadership Division of State of Israel Bonds will hold its third annual black-tie cock- tail and supper dance 7 p.m. Aug. 31 in the main exhibit hall of the Detroit Science Center. Richard Partrich and Brian Schubot co-chair the division. With models of NASA space capsules and rockets as a backdrop, plus many hands- on exhibits, "Bonds Trek III" will feature "moonwalking" and listening to Ursula Walker and the Buddy Bud- son Quartet, according to Lauren Bruss, co-chair with Marcia Ross of the event. There is a couvert — "Earth currency only, please, and the couvert includes valet park- ing for your starship," said Bruss. "Bonds Trek III" will be dedicated to pioneering scien- tists of Israel and scientific discoveries being realized there through major research and development funding by Israel Bonds.
