The Highland Lakes Cam-
pus of Oakland Community
College will host Blackthorn,
playing Irish folk music, 7:30
p.m. Tuesday.
The Macomb Express will
perform Aug. 8, and the Dry
Branch Fire Squad plays
bluegrass favorites Aug. 15.
Both shows are at 7:30 p.m.
The concerts are free and
take place on the campus'
front lawn.

musical version of Cinderella,
7 p.m. today and Saturday
and 2 p.m. Saturday and Sun-
day at the Baldwin Theater
in Royal Oak.

Balalaika Plays
At Sun Bowl

The Balalaika Orchestra of
Detroit will appear in South-
field's Concerts-in-the-Park
Series 7 p.m. Sunday at the
Prudential Town Center.
The orchestra, under the
direction of William Goldes, is
the oldest group outside of the
Soviet Union that plays
balalaika music.

Music Review
At Northland

A group of eight young ac-
tors, who are on the staff at
Oakland County Parks and
Recreation, will perform
"Putting it Together," a
musical review of the great
songs of Broadway, at noon
Monday outside the Nor-
thland Center on J.L. Hudson
Drive, parking lot C.
