Exhibit Plans
Are Foiled

The Detroit Jewish Com-
munity Counci's attempt to
place an exhibit, "Martin
Luther King and The Jews,"
at the recent national conven-
tion of the National Associa-
tion for the Advancement of
Colored People in Detroit was
foiled by lack of time.
"Everything at these con-
ventions is decided months in
advance and at the national
level," said David Gad-Harf,
JCCouncil executive director,
who said the Council tried to
work through the local
NAACP chapter.
"We have had and continue
to have very good relations
with the Detroit NAACP. We
don't ordinarily deal with the
national officers," said Paul D.
Borman, Council president.
