Names Assistant Rabbi
Rabbi L. David Feder will
join Temple Emanu-El as
assistant rabbi, beginning
Aug. 1.
Rabbi Feder is a native of
Memphis, Tenn. He grad-
uated from Washington
committee which wrote the
ordination service and super-
vised the HUC-JIR College
Bokstore.
Rabbi Feder served as stu-
dent rabbi at Meir Chayim

picnic 2 p.m. Sunday at
Southfield's Civic Center
Park.

volleyball games and

Temple Emanu-El, Tusca-

Israel, Maron, Ohio. During
the summer of 1987, he was
a rabbinic intern at North
Shore Temple Emanuel in
Sydney, Australia.
He also has served as a
prison chaplain in Alabama
and in Ohio and has exten-
sive experience in Jewish
teaching and camping.
