line last month.
Two submenus ha,-3 been
added — one for men, the
other for women. Listeners
can met prospective dates and
mates by calling them.
There is a charge. For
advertiser information, call
(914) 426-2572.

Doug Ross
Resigns
State Post
State Commerce Director
Doug Ross, who opened the
gateway for trade between
Israel and Michigan, is leav-
ing state government to head
the Corporation for Enter-
prise Development in
Washington, D.C.
"I'm going to take the
things I've learned about
economic development here
in Michigan to the national
level," Ross said this week.
"It's a good opportunity."
Ross said he intends to
spend just a few years in
Washington heading the con-
sulting group that advises
state and local governments
on economic development.
"Michigan is my home and
I intend to come back," he
said.
Ross's resignation came as
a surprise to many political
watchdogs, who speculated
that the 47-year-old com-
merce director was a likely
contender to be Gov. James
Blanchard's- next running
mate.
"I'm no longer thinking
about office goals," Ross said.
"You can't plan your life
around political what ifs."
