Games Dinner
Ben Braun will be the
master of ceremonies at the
awards presentation and
dinner-dance following the
third annual Michigan
Jewish Sports Hall fo Fame
Games on Aug. 27.
Braun, basketball coach at
Eastern Michigan University,
is head coach of the U.S. men's
cage team in this week's Mac-
cabiah in Israel.
The closing ceremony will
be at 7:30 p.m. in Shiffman
Hall of the Maple/Drake
Jewish Community Center.
The Hall of Fame Games is an
annual athletic competition
for the developmentally
disabled in the Jewish com-
munity, sponsored by the
Jewish Sports Hall of Fame in
cooperation with the Center.

Sinai Hospital's Center for
Cardiovascular Health will
host a health and fitness
weekend July 21-23 at Camp
Tamarack in Ortonville.
The spa-like weekend will
offer participants a combina-
tion of educational and exer-
cise classes. Seminars and
workshops in yoga, massage
therapy, healthy cooking,
stress management and
reducing cholesterol will be
presented by physicians and
other Detroit-area health care
professionals. Recreational
activities will include canoe-
ing, volleyball, walks and
horseback riding.
Participants must have had
a recent treadmill stress test.

Williams Golf
Classic Slated
The fifth annual "Soapy"
Williams Golf Classic will be
Sept. 8 at the Bay Pointe Golf
Club, West Bloomfield.
The Classic, a tribute by the
Oakland County Democratic
Party to the late former
Michigan Governor G. Men-
nen Williams, inclueds 18
holes of golf, dinner and
prizes. The format is a five-
man team scramble.
