Marina Kolmanovsky of
Baku in the Soviet Union.
Marina is the daughter of
Natalya and Feliks
Kolmanovsky. The family
first applied in 1979 for exit
visas to Israel. They were
refused the same year

Daniel Aaron Alter, son of
Ellen and Peter Alter, and
Robert P. Krut, son of Faye
and Michael Krut, twinned
their b'nai mitzvah at Con-
gregation Shaarey Zedek
with Maksim Rozenoer of
Moscow.
During their visit last Oc-
tober to the Soviet Union as
part of the United Jewish Ap-
peal's Jubilee Mission, the
Alters visited with Maksim
and his mother, Natasha. Bar
mitzvah gifts were given to
Maksim from the Alter and
Krut families. Since then, the
Kruts and Alters have cor-
responded with and spoken
on the telephone to the
Rozenoers.
Maksim's father Sergei
(Shlomo) lives in Israel.

Aaron Joshua Bienstock
Goldenberg, son of Enid
Bienstock and William
Goldenberg of West Bloom-
field, twinned his bar mitzvah
at Temple Emanu-El with
Vladislav Kusaev, son of Olga
and Arcady Kusaev of the
Soviet Union.
Olga Kusaev is a nurse; her
husband is a radio mechanic
who applied for an exit visa in
1974. They were refused
immediately.
Aaron has tried repeatedly
to contact Vladislav, but all
his letters have been return-
ed. The envelopes indicated
that the family moved, and
did not offer a forwarding
address.
Bassin iWins
With Letichever
Benjamin Bassin, son of
Ronna and Lawrence Bassin,
twinned his bar mitzvah at
Mat Shalom Synagogue with
Roman Letichever, son of
Sofia and Leonid Letichever
of Kishinev in the Soviet
Union.
The Letichever family first
applied for permission to
emigrate to Israel in August
1978. They were denied visas
the same year with the
reason for the refusal
unknown.
Benjamin has written
Roman and will try to reach
the family by telephone.
