Morris Building of the Jewish
Community Center will host
a book review by Frances
Weinberg on Tuesday at 11
a.m. in room 4. She will
review Remember This
Dream by Harold Gershowitz.
Samuel Fisher, camp direc-
tor of the Fresh Air Society,
will speak as part of the
"Let's Talk With Jewish
Leaders New to Our Com-
munity" series on Tuesday at
1 p.m. in the assembly hall.
Following the lecture, Archie
Leslie will show a travelogue
of Central America and of the
New York World's Fair.
This week is the deadline to
sigh up for the low vision
weekly workshop which will
be offered by the Greater
Detroit Society for the Blind.

Seniors Get
Rides To Center

Door-to-door transportation
to the Jimmy Prentis Morris
Branch of the Jewish Com-
munity Center is now being
offered to senior adults.
Pick-up is scheduled for the
following areas: Monday,
Southfield, Detroit; Tuesday,
Oak Park; Wednesday, Nor-
thwest Detroit, Oak Park,
Royal Oak, Southfield,
Berkley; Friday, Oak Park,
Royal Oak, Berkley.
Passengers are picked up at
their homes at 9:30 a.m. and
returned at 3 p.m. There is a
nominal fee. 1b receive the
service, contact the Jewish In-
formation Service, 967-4357.

This service is provided by
the Jewish Center, the Jewish
Information Service, the
Jewish Welfare Federation
and Jerome Glassman.

Seniors See
Klezmer Film

The film, Jewish Soul
Music, the Art of Giora Feid-
man, about Klezmer musi-
cians, will be shown on June
30 at 10 a.m. at the Jimmy
Prentis Morris Building of
the Jewish Community
Center.
Jewish Soul Music is one of
a series of Yiddish films of-
fered during the senior adult
department's Friday Morning
Features. This film was pro-
vided by A. Lincoln Opper.
There is no charge.

Garden Group
Has Workshop

The Institute for Retired
Professionals Garden Group
will sponsor a workshop for
persons interested in pursu-
ing indoor gardening as a
hobby on Tuesday at 10:30
a.m. in the JPM atrium.
Featured speaker will be
master gardener, Mary Ann
Hamlin of the Michigan State
University Cooperative Ex-
tension Service of Oakland
County. Interested persons
are welcome. For details, con-

Workshop Set

"You and Your Aging
Parent," a workshop series for
adult children, will be
presented at the Trowbridge,
24111 Civic Center Drive, 7
p.m. Thursday.
'Ibpics will include the emo-
tional impact of caregiving,
the aging process, common
chronic illnesses of the elder-
ly, legal considertions and
housing options.

Kids Hear Story

Bubbie, Zadie and the
grandchildren are invited to
hear story teller Fran Aaron
share her favorite Jewish
children's stories on June 30
