The cultural arts depart- ment of the Jewish Corn- munity Center will offer a variety of educational classes this summer at the Maple/ Drake Building for children and adults. "On Camera," an eight- week course to teach children speech, drama and camera presence, is divided into two age divisions, 6-9 and 10-13. Contemporary dancing will be offered for young people, while ballroom dancing is for beginner and intermediate level adults. An Instruction in Theater class will be given by Evelyn Orbach. Tap, ballet, jazz, bridge, art, music, calligraphy, art and gallery tours are among the other offerings. There are two four-week summer sessions starting the week of June. 25. All classes are open to the public. For information call the Center, 661-1000, ext. 335. The Center also is offering music lessons in traditional piano, violin, flute and recorder. Suzuki lessons in violin and piano also are of- fered. There are openings for preschoolers. Lesson are available at both the Maple/ Drake Building and the Jim- my Prentis Morris Building. The Improved Reading Centers of Michigan, Inc., will bring its advanced reading and study skills program to the Center's Maple/Drake Building. This program is designed for student above the 10th grade who want to improve their reading and study skills. This class will meet for 12 hours over two weeks starting June 26. A contemporary dancing class will be held on Wednes- day evenings, starting June 28 at the Maple/Drake Building for 12-14 year olds.
