Event Planned

The 10th annual Wheels of
Freedom antique auto show
and parade will roll out on
June 24, beginning at 9 a.m.
in Windsor's City Hall
Square.
At 11:45 a.m., the cars will
parade to Detroit and be
displayed in the Greektown
area. A 10k run will precede
the show in Detroit.
Activities will last until
3 p.m. The event is free.
A two-day air show at
Windsor Airport will high-
light the 1989 International
Freedom Festival on June
24-25.
Gates open daily at 10 a.m.
with the air show beginning
at 1 p.m. Advance tickets are
available at all "Big V" Drug
Stores.

Bremen Heads
ALS Auction

A celebrity auction featur-
ing Barry Bremen, "the
Great Imposter," will high-
light the annual ALS Golf In-
vitational on July 28 at Bay
Pointe Golf Club in West
Bloomfield.
Tickets for golfers entering
the 18-hole event, chaired by
former Detroit Lions great
Lem Barney, are available by
calling ALS of Michigan, Inc.,
at 352-3070. Proceeds provide
support services for patients
with ALS — Amyotrophic
Lateral Sclerosis, also known
as Lou Gehrig's Disease.
