Season Opens
The Meadow Brook Music
Festival will open its 26th
season on Thursday when
pianist Andre Watts performs
Rachmaninoff's Piano Con-
certo No. 2 with the Detroit
Symphony, Czech condutor
Libor Pesek directing. The
program will be repeated
June 18 at the outdoor
festival which is located on
the campus of Oakland
University near Rochester.
The Smothers Brothers,
Jim Stafford and Pat Paulsen
will appear June 16. Soloists
of the Royal Danish Ballet
perform June 17.
All Detroit Symphony Or-
chestra classical concerts are
designated the Chrysler Con-
cert Series.
All concerts are held at 8
p.m. in the Baldwin Pavilion.

will be performed.
