Bruce is now working on a se-
cond book on skincare for
teen-agers. He frequently con-
tributes articles to Family
Circle magazine and writes
for various New York papers.
When he isn't traveling,
Bruce enjoys relaxing at his
home in Woodstock, N.Y. It's
a special treat for Bruce to be
entertained rather than
entertaining.
"I love going to the movies,"
he says. "I like to be `off and
see someone else who's 'on.'
That, to me, is the greatest
form of relaxation."
Bruce also enjoys his role as
uncle to nephew Andrew, and
takes great pleasure in main-
taining contact with his
parents.
While in New York, Bruce
continues to devote time to
various charities. Through
the Juvenile Diabetes Foun-
dation, he teaches make-up
application to blind women
and works with burn patients
at the James Ewing Hospital
in New York. He also works
with plastic surgeons, con-
sulting with their patients
after facial surgery. He looks
forward to working with the
elderly in the future, a group
he feels is often neglected.
Bruce names actress and
former Miss America Mary
Ann Mobley as the most
beautiful woman, without
make-up, upon whom he has
ever worked. Several
celebrities, however, have
been quite unpleasant to
work with, he recalls. "It
always amazes me when
celebrities are not nice to the
person doing their hair or
their face, because we can get
even . . . and we have," he
remarks.
At 42, Bruce is marking his
26th year as a make-up artist.
When it comes to describing
his success, he's a one-man
show.
"I take full responsibility
for anything bad that's ever
happened to me and for
anything good that's ever
happened to me. I don't blame
anybody else and I don't give
anybody else credit." ❑
