The 48th annual conven-
tion of the Department of
Michigan and Ladies Aux-
iliary Jewish War Veterans of
the USA will be held June
23-25 at the Northfield Hilton
in Troy.
An Oneg Shabbat will take
place June 23 at the JWV
Memorial Home in South-
field. Scholarships will be
awarded. The newly formed
Jack J. Berman Chapter will
be installed.
On June 24, services will be
conducted at 9 p.m. at Con-
gregation Beth Achim.
There will be a banquet
June 24 honoring the state
commander of JWV and the
president of the Ladies
Auxiliary.
A memorial service and
election of officers will take
place June 25.

Annual Parley

The Department of
Michigan and Ladies Aux-
iliary, Jewish War Veterans of
the U.S.A., will hold their
48th annual state convention
June 23-25.
On June 23 at 7:30 p.m. at
the Jewish War Veterans
Memorial Home, an Oneg
Shabbat and services will be
held. A total of 20 $500
scholarships will be
presented.
The members of the
descendents group of Jewish
War Veterans will receive
their new charter.
Distinguished guests will be
acknowledged. Refreshments
will be served.
On June 24 at 9 a.m. ser-
vices will be held at Con-
gregation Beth Achim in
Southfield. A banquet will be
held that evening at the Nor-
thfield Hilton Hotel honoring
President Shirley Schlussel
and Commander Milton
Klein. There will be dancing
to the Ed Burg Orchestra.
On June 25 at the North-
field Hilton Hotel, at 8 a.m.,
registration will begin.
Memorial services will be at
9 a.m. At 9:30 a.m. brunch
will be served.
