University will chart the development
of a specific halakhic obligation from
its antecedent roots in the Pentateuch,
through its elaboration in the Talmud,
its crystallization in the classic codes of
Jewish law, to its treatment in 20th cen-

forefront of many innovative
research programs. She is a
former diplomat in the
United States Foreign Service
and has taught at Wayne
State University, Albion Col-
lege and Ohio State
University.

7:30 p.m. in the main sanc-
tuary of the Adat Shalom
Synagogue.
There will be a special pro-
gram presented by all the
graduates entitled: "Ameri-
can Jew/Jewish America —
What Does Being Jewish
Mean To Me?"
The program will consist of
various stories dramatizing
the American Jewish ex-
perience.
A reception for the
graduates, their families and
guests will be held im-
mediately following gradua-
tion exercises.
