Dr. Adrian Kantrowitz,
world renowned cardiac
surgeon, will speak on
"Developments in Heart
Surgery: Past and Present" at
the Beth Abraham Hillel

Dr. Kantrowitz performed
the first heart transplant in
the United States. He also
Performed the first implanta-
tion in the world of cardiac
assist device intended to re-
main permanently in the
body.
Dr. Kantrowitz is a cardiac
surgeon on the staffs of Sinai
Hospital of Detroit and St.
Joseph Mercy Hospital in
Pontiac. He is also professor of
surgery at Wayne State
University's School of
Medicine and adjunct pro-
fessor of physics at Oakland
University.
The men's club invites com-
munity. There is no charge.
