Irwin Cohen will present a
slide presentation on the
history of Jewish Detroit on
June 11 at noon at the annual
luncheon of the Jewish
Historical Soceity of Michi-
gan. The luncheon will be
held in the Maple/Drake
Jewish Community Center.
Cohen, a native Detroiter,
who attended Yeshiva Beth
Yehudah, is a member of the
Detroit Tigers front office,
and is president of Congrega-
tion Mogain Abraham.
There is a charge for the

Moscow Is Site
For WJCongress

New York (JTA) — The
World Jewish Congress has
made a definite commitment
to hold its next executive
meeting in Moscow, the first
time the Jewish body has ever
held an official conclave in
the Soviet Union.
The meeting, which will
probably be held in October,
will draw officials of the inter-
national Jewish organization
from four continents, in-
cluding officials of the Zionist
organizations.
The decision, formally pro-
posed at a recent executive
meeting in Montreal, is the
culmination of a long history
of increasing diplomatic in-
roads in the Soviet Union.
Just recently, a represen-
tative of the group par-
ticipated in an unprecedented
conference of Soviet Jewish
leaders from throughout the
Soviet Union which Wok
