Neuro-surgery at Sinai Hospital
and also practices at Beaumont
Hospital. Since his coming to
Detroit 12 years ago, Dr. Fried-
man has involved himself in the
activities of many organizations
including The Council of Or-
thodox Rabbis and Merkaz and
has served as president of Con-
gregation Shomrey Emunah and
also Yeshiva Beth Yehudah.

Young Israel Of Greenfield
Has 30th Anniversary Dinner

The Young Israel of Green-
field will hold its 30th an-
niversary dinner 6:30 p.m.
June 4 at the Young Israel of
Oak-Woods.
The honorees for the even-
ing's event will be Sanford
(Ruvi) and Shelley Singal.
Ruvi Singal has served as
president of Young Israel of
Greenfield for two terms. In
addition, he holds the posi-
tion of chairman of the board
of the synagogue. Both he and
Shelley Singal were in-
strumental in starting auc-
tion/dinners that have yield-
ed funding for the shul.

The entertainment for the
evening will be mentalist
Marc Salem.
Salem has been described
as the "master of the
unknown" because of his
ability to identify objects hid-
den by time and space, in-
cluding those sealed in the
world's largest safes. He takes
his audiences on an enter-
taining and mystical excur-
sion into the world of the
sixth sense, hypnosis, mental
control and beyond.

religious school commence-
ment exercises will be held
June 2 at the synagogue. The
evening will begin with a
traditional Friday night fami-
ly dinner, followed by a Shab-
bat service in the sanctuary
conducted by the graduates
and confirmand. At the con-
clusion of the service, the
graduates and confirmand
will receive their diplomas
and certificates. An Oneg
Shabbat will follow com-
mencement exercises.
