Holds Meeting

dressing from Kraft. Its unique combination of
vinegar, oil and spices gives food a delicious
tang that mayonnaise just can't match. Try it in
this recipe for smoked herring salad and you'll
find that Kosher-parve Miracle Whip adds a
wonderful flavor to food.

SMOKED HERRING SALAD

With Kosher-parve Miracle Whip salad dressing

Combine all ingredients except lettuce;
mix lightly. Chill. Add additional salad
dressing before serving, if desired.
Serve in lettuce-lined bowl.
6 to 8 servings
Variation: Substitute Miracle Whip
Light reduced calorie salad dressing
for Miracle Whip salad dressing.

4 cups chopped cooked potato
1/2 lb. smoked herring, skinned, boned, chopped
1 cup celery, slices
'/2 cup MIRACLE WHIP salad dressing
2 tablespoons chopped onion
2 tablespoons lemon juice
2 tablespoons chopped pimento
1 teaspoon Kosher salt
Dash of pepper
Lettuce

Ahavas Chesed — Bikur
Cholim will hold its semi-
annual general meeting on
June 5 at 8 p.m. at Young
Israel of Greenfield.
Guest speaker will be Mrs.
Isabel King Sweet, a social
worker, who will speak on
"The Miracle of a Visit."
Louis Shear and Sydelle Bur-
dish, residents of Lahser Hills
Nursing Center, will speak on
their affiliation with Ahavas
Chesed volunteers.
Vice Presidents Anne
Cohen, Susan Kraus, Raiselle
Snow and Natalie Sunshine
will report on their year's ac-
tivities with Borman Hall,
Lahser Hills Nursing Center,
Meals-on-Wheels, Mt. Vernon
Nursing Center and Sinai
Hospital.

Adat Shalom
Installation Day

' The Sisterhood of Adat
Shalom Synagogue will hold
its annual Installation Day
on June 5. The women will
begin with a Shachrit service
at 10:30 a.m. The day will
continue with the installation
and a luncheon at noon. Rab-
bi Efry Spectre will install
the group's new officers and
board members.
Following lunch and the in-
stallation, guests will take a
stroll "Down Memory Lane"
with a look at the sisterhood's
history in a special program
dedicated to the group's past
presidents.

iWo To Chair
Bar-Ilan Dinner

Joyce Borovoy and Beverly
Liss have been named
chairmen for the annual
donor luncheon of the
American Women for Bar
Ilan-University slated for
June 13, announced Rosie
Schlussel, president.
Funds generated by the
donor will be used to refur-
bish one of the original cam-
pus dormitories sponsored by
Detroiters. The luncheon will
feature entertainment by the
Michigan Duo.
Borovoy has been active
with Bar-Ilan for a number of
years, and she and her hus-
band participated in last
year's first Midwest Regional
Mission to the campus. She is
also actively involved at Con-
gregation B'nai Moshe. Liss
chaired last year's American
women's donor, and in addi-
tion co-chaired by the Univer-
sity's worker recruitment ef-
forts. She also is involved in
the Women's Division of the
Jewish Welfare Federation,
Hillel Day School and Adat
Shalom Synagogue, among
others.
