Rabbi Allan Meyerowitz

Shalom Synagogue were
nominating rabbis. Rabbi
David Nelson of Congrega-
tion Beth Shalom is past
president.
Rabbi Meyerowitz plans to
establish a number of
outreach projects including a
singles' program, a forum for
social issues and a "Learning
L'Shma" program of rabbinic
studies.
Rabbi Meyerowitz has serv-
ed for two years as rabbi of
Congregation B'nai Moshe.
He is a past Soviet Jewry
chairman of the Rabbinical
Assembly of America and
now serves on its executive
committee.

Warren Tessler
To Be Installed

Dr. Warren Tessler will be
installed president of Con-
gregation Beth Abraham
Hillel Moses during family
worship services 8 p.m. today.
A family dinner at 6:30 p.m.
will honor new officers and
the board of directors. An
Oneg Shabbat will follow the
service. Sidney Blackman is
dinner chairman.
Dr. Tessler has served on
the boards of Alpha Omega
Fraternity, Hillel Day School,
American Red Magen David
for Israel and Michigan State
Board of Dentistry-periodon-
tics section. He serves on the
Jewish Theological Seminary
Detroit metro board of direc-
tors, American Friends of
Hebrew University and is
vice president of the United
