Alyse Cash is the chapter adviser. Elections Focus Of BBYO Event B'nai B'rith Youth Organization's spring Elec- tions Training Conclave (ETC) May 19-21 announces its theme will be "Leadership Games." The conclave teaches and reinforces leadership skills and officer education at the annual event at Camp Maas, which also includes elections for Great Lakes Council AZA and BBG offices. Coordinators are Lisa Sher- man of Disraeli BBG and Shawn Stearn of Mendoza AZA. BBYO Councils Pick Officials Lisa Goren of Shira BBG and Randall Fogelman of Brandeis AZA were recently elected chairmen of Great Lakes Council installations from their respective councils. The Great Lakes AZA and BBG Council Officer Installa- tions, entitled "An Evening of Elegance," will be held June 19 at 7 p.m. at the United Hebrew Schools. Contest Focuses On Jerusalem In conjunction with its an- nual community celebration of Yom Yerushalayim (Jerusalem Day), the Detroit Zionist Federation is sponsor- ing a contest for students to express their love for Jerusalem in poetry or prose. According to Norman Naimark, DZF president, the contest "Acclaim Jerusalem in Prose and Paint" is open to students and is sponsored in conjunction with the Jewish Educators Council. An ex- hibition of the works will be held in conjuntion with the Jerusalem Day Celebration, planned for June 1 at 7:30 p.m. at Adat Shalom Synagoguge. All painted entries must be mounted, matted or framed. Deadline for entries is May 25. Entries should be sent to the Detroit Zionist Federa- tion, 21550 W. 12 Mile, Southfield 48076. First prize is a $250 (upon maturity) Israel Investment Bond. The June 1 program will feature singing duo Gemini.
