Faculty Artists
Give Concert

The 1989 Center for
Creative Studies-Institute of
Music and Dance Faculty Ar-
tist Series will conclude at 8
p.m. today when violinist
Patricia Gurin and pianist
Deborah Berman present
Mozart's Sonata in E minor
and Prokofieffs Sonata in D
Major. They will be joined by
cellist Debra Fayroian for a
performance of the Trio, op.
49 of Felix Mendelssohn.
Gurin is chairman of the
string department at CCS-
Institute Music and Dance.
Berman is dean of the School
of Music at CCS-IMD.
Fayroian is a member of the
institute's faculty.
Tickets may be purchased
by telephoning the CCS-
Institute of Music and Dance,
831-2870. The concert will
take place at IMD's Cultural
Center at John R and Kirby.
Meanwhile, the annual
stuent showcase recital of the
Center for Creative Studies-
Institute of Music and Dance
has been scheduled for Satur-
day at 3- p.m. in Boughton
Auditorium at the institute.
The student showcase
recital will be followed by
CCS-IMD's annual awards
ceremony.

Concert Due

The Pro Mozart Society of
Greater Detroit will celebrate
its 30th birthday at a concert
at the Grosse Pointe War
Memorial May 21 at 3 p.m.
A guest at the concert will
be Dr. Friedrich Gehmacher,
president of the International
Foundation Mozarteum.
Wyn Landis will be honored
with "Magic Flute" medals
presented by Dr. Gehmacher.

OP Chorus
To Entertain

The annual spring concert
of the Oak Park Civic Chorus

School.

solos, duets and the
