tion to vegetarian dishes they
serve chicken mole, tamales,
enchilada mole, tacos, tostada
and chili con carne. Mexican
snacks and cocktails are 25
percent off from 4 to 6 p.m.
Chinese food in Jerusalem
is the specialty of Yo-si Peking

(5 Shimon ben Shetah), which
also has a branch in Tel Aviv.
Another Chinese restaurant,
Ten. Li Chow (8 Ramban St.),
features 12 chicken dishes
and eight varieties of duck.
A charming, century-old
house is the setting for the
Yemenite Step restaurant (12
Yoel Salomon St.) where meat
and vegetarian cuisine are
popular. Hungarian food is
the specialty at Coritz
restaurant (43 Malchei
Israel), which also offers a
take:out service.

authority on Israel, the Mid-
dle East and Arab politics,
will be the guest speaker at
the Metro Detroit State of
Israel Bonds Attorneys Divi-
sion Tribute Dinner, schedul-
ed for 6 p.m. Tuesday at Con-
gregation Shaarey Zedek. At-
torneys Division co-chairmen
are Saul Bluestone and
Sheldon L. Miller.
A pre-dinner parlor
meeting, hosted by Elaine
and Sheldon Miller, netted
$261,000 in Bond
subscriptions.
Honored at the event will
be Judge Hilda R. Gage and
Judge Norman L. Lippitt,
recipients-elect of State of
Israel Eleanor Roosevelt
Humanities Medals, "in
recognition of their outstand-
ing support of the Israel Bond

Gleekel's involvement in
Israel's cause began in 1933
when he joined the Hechalutz
movement for migration and
settlement in Palestine.
Gleekel has travelled
throughout the Middle East
and has had extensive conver-
sations with Arab mayors in
Israel and with leaders in
refugee camps in the region.
He maintains contact with
Israeli political, military and
government officials.
