Krzyzowski became editor
two years ago. He established
the publication's office in his
home, where he edits and
does the layout. The journal
is printed in Ann Arbor.
Krzyzowski works with the
associate editor, Tadeusz
Witkowski, on themes for the
journal's articles. Once these
have been decided, they
solicit writers, including a
correspondent in Warsaw, and
later translate a number of
the stories from Polish into
English.
From the moment he
became editor, Krzyzowski
planned to do an issue on
Polish-Jewish relations.
"Polish history and Jewish
history are intertwined," he
says. "And if I associate
myself with Polish traditions,
I must accept the good and
the bad, and that includes
treatment of Jews by Poles.
It's something you have to
take a stand on." ❑
