Temple Women Install
Stern As President
Temple Israel Sisterhood's
installation luncheon will be
held May 22 at noon at the
temple. Sherrie Stern will be
installed as president.
Mrs. Stern and her hus-
band, Norton have been
members of the congregation
since 1974. She coordinates
SOLO (a newly formed single
parent group at the temple)
and JEMS (a group for singles
in their 20s and 30s). She has
served on numerous commit-
tees, including school board,
membership, caring com-
munity, music, on the board of
trustees and as president of
Couples Club in 1981.
Installing officer is
Adrienne Milin. Officers to be
installed with Mrs. Stern are:

Donna Phillips; Ways and
Means, Janie Roth; Program,

presentation of international
songs and theater pieces by
Cantor Harold Orbach of
Temple Israel and Nina Dova
of New York.
Ms. Dova sings songs in
more than 10 languages. She
has performed around the
globe as a singer/guitarist.
She has appeared in Broad-
way productions of Zorba and
The Rothchilds. She has also
had leading roles in the Three
Penny Opera, Leonard Berns-
tein's Candide and in Lincoln
Center's Yerma.
The program is sponsored
in part by the Helen S. Tablas
Memorial Fund.
Janie Roth, program vice
president and her social com-
mittee, Gayle Hirsch and
Rosanne Fienman, are
responsible for the afternoon.
There is a charge. Reserva-
tions are required by May 17.
