Bel Canto Sings
In Musicale

Bel Canto Choral Society
will be featured in a musicale,
"A Spring Bouquet," at St.
Paul's Cathedral in Detroit's
cultural center on Sunday at
4 p.m.
The ensemble, directed by
Denise Ogden and accom-
panied by Rochelle Barr, will
sing Broadway, popular, in-
spirational and classical
music.
Participants in this pro-
gram will include Carmen
Harlan, mistress of
ceremonies; Carolyn Grimes,
soprano; the Myron Wahls,
jazz pianist; and classical
violinist, A. Phillinganes.
There is an admission fee.
Bel Canto will sing for the
Sinai Hospital Guild on
Thursday at Adat Shalom
Synagogue. Other programs
in May include appearances
at Fleischman Residence and
Prentis Manor and a May 23
return engagement at the
Downtown Branch of the
Detroit Public Library. The
season concludes June 12
with the annual year-end pro-
gram at Congregation Beth
Achim. The public is invited.

'Get Your Gun'
Opens At Center

Annie Get Your Gun, the
Irving Berlin musical comedy
that is an American theater
classic, opens 9:30 p.m. Satur-
day at the Jewish Communi-
ty Center's Maple/Drake
Building.
The show is produced by
Nancy Gurwin Productions,
and features Nancy Gurwin
in the lead. It will also be per-
formed Sunday, 2 p.m. and 7
p.m.; May 6, 9:30 p.m.; May 7,
7 p.m.; May 11, 7:30 p.m.; and
May 13, 9:30 p.m.
