Goldsmith Twins
Bar Mitzvah

Bradley Eric Goldsmith,
son of Frances and Allen
Goldsmith, together with
Paul Sonkin, son of Sydelle
and Sheldon Sonkin, will
twin their b'nai mitzvah
celebrations Saturday at Adat
Shalom Synagogue with Elgu
Efremashvili of Sukhumi in
the Soviet Union.
Elgu is the son of Ister and
David Efremashvili, who first
applied for permission to
emigrate to Israel in 1972.
They were not given a reason
for the refusal.

GARY DEMBS was awarded
a seder plate by the Oakland
Hunger Task Force. Dembs
had provided consultant ser-
vices for the successful Hearts
for the Hungry and Homeless
Walk and Vigil held this year
in Birmingham.

SAUL SELIGSON, 12, a stu-
dent at Yeshiva Beth
Yehudah, won second prize, a
$50 U.S. Savings Bond, in a
recent poster contest, spon-
sored by the U.S. Army Tank-
Automotive Command in
Warren. The contest was held
to remind employees and
their families about the im-
portance in saving energy at
home and at work.

JUDGE HILDA R. GAGE
of Pontiac was honored as a
new life fellow of the
American Bar Foundation.
Also honored as a new life
fellow was CHARLES L.
LEVIN of Southfield. The
fellows is an honorary
organization of practicing at-
torneys, judges and law
teachers whose professional,
public, private careers have
demonstrated outstanding
dedication to the welfare of
their communities and to the
highest principles of the legal
profession.
