In addition to the Pitt Scholarships, Michigan BBYO also offers the follow- ing scholarships to members attending BBYO summer pro- grams: The Arlene Vivian Moss and Ida Moss Memorial Israel Scholarships provide two scholarships of $400 each to Michigan BBYOers atten- ding the BBYO Israel Sum- mer Institute (ISI) program, a six-week study tour of Israel; the William Katz Memorial Leadership Award, which salutes outstanding BBYO leaders, provides a scholar- ship of $500 to a Michigan BBYOer who will attend the ILTC program. It is sponsored by Harry B. Keidan Lodge of B'nai B'rith in memory of its long-time financial secretary. The Great Lakes Adviser Association Scholarship ($100) salutes an outstanding BBYO chapter leader who plans to continue his/her in- volvement at the chapter level in the upcoming pro- gram year. Deadline for scholarships is April 30. The Joan Kalef Memorial Leadership Award salutes outstanding BBYO leaders. It memoralizes the past president of the Metro Detroit Council of B'nai B'rith Women. It is designed to further the recipient's leadership experiences, by enabling the applicant to at- tend BBYO's International Convention (IC) in August at B'nai B'rith Perlman Camp in Starlight, Pa. The amount of the award is equal to the registration fee of the IC. The application deadline is May 26.
